Inspiration from ecovative design

Last week we visited ecovative design, a company started by RPI students, based on a project started in Inventor’s studio 2006. We got a tour and spoke to Co-founder Gavin McIntyre, which was a major inspiration and made me want to go out and start something right away!

Ecovative begun as a project growing mushrooms under the bed, to now being a steadily growing company with 40+ employees. The environment and vibe around the worksphere was very open, and their company culture was what inspired me the most. They challenge all of their employees to ask questions and be creative in everything they do, which I think keeps up a great mindset and work environment – I would like to work in a company like this in the future, or adopt it into my own.
